Jennifer Mc Cool
This person comes to work with a great attitude, that is engaging and inviting to all students that she interacts with. She truly puts students interests first before her own, and is an excellent support to any classroom she works in. She prides herself on a great work ethic that makes her very reliable and extremely supportive. She is an outstanding professional who always shows a genuine care for anyone she interacts with. So and so is a hardworking individual who values the experience and embraces the positive opportunities of working with special education students. |

Dan Kingery
This person is an extremely supportive leader on this campus. He is consistently available for members of his department who require any assistance. His students are engaged by his passion for their success and his sincere dedication to their development. His compassion, commitment, and care for what is best for all students make him an outstanding candidate for staff member of the month. |

Priscilla Martinez
I would like to nominate Priscilla as the staff member of the month due to her continued commitment to her students and the entire cheer program. She is an asset to our school and is making a difference by raising our students expectations for themselves and continually challenging our kids. |

Joanna Thompson
Joanna works hard and is willing to do whatever is needed. She is pleasant and positive with our students. She has excellent rapport with our kids and isn't afraid to be firm when needed. She is consistent and motivates an has high expectations of them all. She is wonderful.

Maria Carrillo
Maria has been a dedicated and hard working Bilingual Instructional Assistant in our English Language Development program on our campus for four years. She always does whatever she can to help staff and students. She is patient, caring, and always does her job with a smile. She is always willing to do whatever jobs she can on campus to ensure that our students are taken care of and that they are adjusting well to school. She is always willing to be flexible with her schedule and assists beyond the classroom by translating in meetings, making parent phone calls, working with parents in the community, and keeping staff aware of potential issues students are facing in their daily lives, both on campus and at home. |

Roger Brooks
I would like to nominate Roger Brooks as Staff member of the Month. Roger is truly a team player. He works tirelessly to support the students in his program as well as the rest of the Golden Valley High School community. He spends nights and weekends working on projects for his program and other programs in his department. He volunteers to build sets, accompany singers and travel to festivals. He has inspired his students to be the very best they can be and they respect him for it. His peers value his counsel and enjoy his infectious sense of humor. Roger Brooks never asks 'Why?" He asks "Why Not?" Roger is an incredible asset to Golden valley High School and we are lucky to have him. |

Kendra Millard Torres
From the first year I started working at GV she has assisted me in several reports. In many instances she has made my job easier. Never has this person been unwilling to offer support. She is always helpful in offering knowledge on those things that help her co workers.

Danielle Werts
This teacher is incredibly dedicated and puts students needs above her own. She spends countless hours preparing lessons that are engaging for all students and help increase their comprehension. She spends time researching students backgrounds and data. She contacts parents, coaches and other teachers. She builds personal relationships with her students. She attends games and events to show her support. She also still finds time to collaborate with other teachers, share her successes, materials and strategies.

Laura Beers-Dannerth
This person impresses me with the energy and dedication she puts in. She steers students towards responsibility, harnesses leadership, and raises school spirit and positive attitudes. She has helped GV celebrate success and establish an identity. Our ASB has really improved under her leadership. |

Elvia Ickes
She is someone who can be counted on to complete any assignment in a way that is both productive and caring. She assists a number of special needs kids in their general education electives. Teachers often request her by name because they worked with her in the past and know she is effective and helps make sure that their classes run smoothly. I can count on her to be focused on students. She’s always professional and kind towards students and staff.

Eufemia Somers
She has one of the most difficult and challenging jobs on campus. She is responsible for contacting parents, teachers, counselors and administrators for the purpose of scheduling IEPs. She arranges for substitutes and also set and sends schedules to all involved in a timely and efficient manner. She is consistently cheerful and positive regarding her duties and is a pleasure to work with. |

Kerry Riccio
This person is a fantastic member of the GVHS staff. Her dedication to her classes and her program is evident in her willingness to work with students not only during class hours bud during brunch, lunch and on weekends. She has been especially successful in working with our special populations and integrating them seamlessly into her general ed. Classes. She has built her program every year since coming to GVHS. She is a leader in community service and directs her student to perform at a multitude of community events. |

Barbara Thompson
This person has been reaching out to students, staff and parents and going the extra mile to ensure that all needs are met. She has been very responsive to email and phone calls. She takes great initiative in handling enormous amount of projects this semester. The extra care and attention to detail has been appreciated. Her problem solving and trouble shooting has been a tremendous asset to the GV staff.

Robert Fisher
This person has been doing amazing things here at GV and this year is no exception. He has worked extremely hard to turn the athletic department towards a better direction and has made a positive impact on students. The football kids look great on game day and are doing better in school. Kids are not on the JDIC as often as in the past and are much more polite this year. He comes early and leaves late. He is a fantastic colleague and teammate. He is supportive, flexible, communicates quickly and effectively.
